RoC CDC believes every child is an individual and deserves an individualized educational plan to meet their developmental goals. Our center was created to serve the needs and interests of the children in mixed-age groups and at different stages of development. We ask ourselves what the children in our care need, what their families value, and how the community would benefit. We focus on learning through long-term exploratory projects and the care of the “whole” child. Physical development, social interactions, emotional balance, and cognitive needs are all equally important in the life of a child.
We will provide an environment of mixed ages and developmental stages that will include primarily staff’s children and their siblings. There will also be various services available to the children in the center, including:
This schedule gives general idea of a typical day at the child development center. Depending on time of the year, weather, age and the nature of the children, the schedule is subjected to change.
7:30 – 8:00a: Free play, Table Toys, Puzzles
8:00 – 9:00a: Breakfast, Clean up, Wash up
9:00 – 9:30a: Structured activity
9:30 – 10:00a: Arts/Crafts, Reading Time, Various Learning Games
10:00 – 10:30a: Kids Yoga
10:30 – 12:00p: Physical activity
12:00 – 12:15p: Wash up, bathroom break
12:15 – 1:00p: Lunch, Wash up
1:00 – 1:15p: Library time
1:15 – 3:15p: Rest Time / Math, Science activities
3:15 – 4:00p: Music, Songs & Dance
4:00 – 4:30p: Snacks Time
4:30 – 5:00p: Free Play, Structured Play, Puzzles, Books, Outside Play
5:00 – 5:30p: Good Bye
